Are you are looking for a rewarding customer service career within a reputable government owned corporation? Energy Queensland are offering challenging and rewarding customer service roles in a collaborative and diverse Contact Centre.

As a Customer Operations Officer you will deliver quality customer service to customers and stakeholders across Queensland. A core element of our distribution business is keeping the lights on for the community. During our great Australian summer & storm season, the effect that these weather events can have on the electricity network can be devastating and this is when our customers lean on us the most.

To assist the team during the Storm Season, your daily activities will be managing a variety of basic and complex customer enquiries in our Contact Centre over the phone and via other multi-channel communication methods of chat. This role will expand your knowledge of EQL distribution business and connect you with diverse stakeholders. Therefore, you will need to have the ability to read and understand legislative and regulatory script in conjunction with the ability to follow written processes to compete service orders to ensure our program of works is met. Delivering an efficient and quality customer service is critical to the role, as well as ensuring performance targets are achieved.

Benefits:

The remuneration for your new role is between $80k - $114k plus 14.75% super for a 9-day fortnight and between $93k - $132k plus 14.75% super for a 10-day fortnight. The level of payment will be subject to an assessment of the successful applicants knowledge, skills and competencies that are required in this position. Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Energy Queensland Union Collective Agreement 2024.

The Contact Centre is located in Newstead; core business hours are 7:00am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday. Flexibility required to work additional paid on call shifts. Individual rosters will rotate within these hours.

The start date is Monday 21st October, and the positions will be a 2-year fixed term contract.
