Job description

  • Temp position - initially 6 mths with possibility of extension.
  • 36.25 hours per wk - some flexibility w start and finish times.
  • CHC will need to be cleared prior to appointment - required due to this role having access to sensitive data - start date will be subject to this clearing .
  • 100% in the office
  • There will be some lifting and moving of monitors so need to be reasonably fit

Our client is a State Government Department that provides internal support to multiple Government Agencies and Departments on a range of matters, including human resources and payroll enquiries and system support. They now have a rare opportunity to join their administration team providing support to Senior and Executive Management.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide admin and executive support
  • Prepare briefing notes and correspondence
  • Process travel requests and expenditure claims
  • Procurement of items such as stationery, business cards and other general items
  • Screening telephone enquiries, taking detailed messages
  • Liaising with depart staff at all levels on behalf of the senior members of the team
  • Research, analyse and make recommendations on issues relating to admin processes
  • Manage Executive calendars
  • Knowledge of, or ability to quickly acquire knowledge of relevant applications, including, but not limited to - Promaster | Aurion | SAP | Full MS Suite & Share Point

The successful candidate will have:

  • Solid experience in the provision of quality admin support
  • Proven ability to solve problems
  • Accountability of tasks - ensuring completion
  • Able to prioritise and work independently
  • Maintains accurate records and files
  • Takes personal responsibility for accurate completion of work
  • Strong team player
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
